Having worked in the fashion industry in London, Ireland and Australia for more than a decade, designer Carolyn O’Sullivan returned to Ireland in 2020 and created her range, Not Another White Dress, for the bride looking for something truly different.
Carolyn combines vibrant hues, exquisite cuts, and unique textiles sourced from all over the world. Her debut collection entitled ‘Dreaming in Colour’, was created to inspire brides with a variety of possibilities other than a white dress. The collection includes not only dresses, but a jumpsuit, tailored suit, overskirts, short inner dresses worn with separate overdresses and top/skirt combinations.
Some of them come with the added bonus of being wearable after the wedding day. Her pieces may be ordered from the collection as is, custom made to your unique measurements, or they can be used as inspiration for a bespoke ‘one of a kind’ look. There are no rules, it could be a touch of colour or an explosion of the rainbow. The aim is to create something which captures the bride’s style and personality in a unique way. Fabrics include high-end French lace, luxurious silks, soft French tulle, brocade and sequin fabrics.
Carolyn is a member of the Council of Irish Fashion Designers & the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.

She will personally work with you from your first consultation to your wedding day, designing, cutting, fitting, and perfecting your bespoke look herself. She works from a small studio in Dungarvan, Co.Waterford, and also hosts pop-up appointments occasionally in Dublin.
